Since about two years the jugglers of the group Circensema, under the coordination of the twins Martin and Thomas Pederiva and Thomas Zulian, offer activities, workshops and performances to locals and tourists of Fassa Valley.
In occasion of annual summer events, such as Entorn Vich in Vigo di Fassa and A spas co la musega in Pozza di Fassa, adults and children stop by to watch the young jugglers and acrobats manoeuvring balls, clubs, diablos, colourful hats and building human pyramids climbing one on top of the other.
In many occasions Circensema has been asked by local organizations to perform at different events: some examples are the San Nicolò celebration in Pozza, the Carnevale in Vigo, celebrations for the kids of the oratory and for the old people of the Ciasa de Paussa (nursing home), in collaboration with the Social Cooperative Le Rais.
The group has also already performed at high altitude, in particular collaborating with Rifugio Roda di Vael and Baita Marino Pederiva, in the heart of the Rosengarten massif, and at the renowned Festa ta mont, which is held in the beautiful Val San Nicolò on the first weekend of August.
The jugglers of Fassa never miss the chance to bring their circus equipment up in the mountains: the peaks of the Dolomites are a great inspiration to create new manoeuvres, and offer a wonderful background for pictures.
That is how the idea of a circus festival in the mountains came up: the Circen Dolomites Festival starts from here.
